Looking For Answers
(Kessler/Hesse)

The world is full of people who are trying to fill that empty feeling in their life; a void that can only be filled by having a relationship with the living God and living a life unto Him instead of one of selfish fulfillment. This is true even of many Christians. There are many things that we can use and do to numb this ache God wants to fill in us. While we Christians tend to focus on the “sinful” things, such as drugs/alcohol abuse, promiscuity, and other reckless behaviors, the more “accepted” things such as having a busy social life, food, and striving for increased material wealth can serve as the same distractions to what our real want and need is....... Jesus.

Matthew 7:7-14, Matthew 6:19-21

Looking for answers up and down the boulevard
There’s so many people but it’s still a lonely night
Though I call this my town but I still feel alone
And as the story goes, some things never change

Smiling and laughing but inside I just want to cry
The memories are haunting me and they never fade away
Still I tell myself time will heal all the pain
As the story goes, some things never change

Can someone tell me, where can I find love, and what it means?
There’s got to be something, or someone I’m missing, there’s got to be more

Then I found that it’s…
Jesus - He’s the answer that my heart was searching for
It was Jesus - that changed my life when I opened up the door
And the story goes, things can change for you my friend
You might be surprised to know
He can change your life - fill all those lonely nights
And give you a peace that your heart has never known

(repeat chorus)
