Silently (Psalm 62)
(Kessler/Hesse/King David)

King David wrote psalm 62 as a song of trust. How many times do we pray to God, and then wait around in quiet meditation listening for Him to speak to us? God wants to have a relationship with us, not a one-way conversation of us to Him; petitioning Him with our multitude of requests. May our paraphrased version of this ancient psalm lead you into a place of prayerful worship and waiting before the creator of the universe, so that you might hear His voice. For He who numbers the stars, also knows the very number of hairs on your head, and longs to have a relationship with you!

Psalm 62, Isaiah 40:31

Silently, my soul waits for my God
From Him comes my salvation
He alone is my rock and my defense
And I shall not be moved

Silently, my soul waits for my God
For my expectation is from Him
He alone is my rock and my defense
And I shall not be moved

Trust in Him at all times
Pour out your heart before Him
He alone is our rock and our defense
And we shall not be moved

Silently, my soul waits for my God
From Him comes my salvation
He alone is my rock and my defense
And I shall not be moved
